Welcome back to Southampton Chloe
Welcome back Chloe, who has signed a permanent deal with the mighty red and white, after
returning to Reading from her half season loan.
They say not to fall in love with a loan signing, but it was clear to see that we did just that when she was with us on her loan. This time, the loan signing saga has a happy ending, and we see Chloe join us on a permanent deal, hallelujah!
In her previous short time at Saints she showed every bit of passion for the badge, even being a loanee, and played so spectacularly giving her all in every match. During her loan, she made a good strong partnership with Alice in the middle, which I am very excited to see unfold and only grow stronger going into the new season!
We can’t forget that she has good shooting boots with that curling shot (sadly wasn’t a goal)

Who is Chloe Peplow?
For those of you who may not know, Chloe Peplow is a 24 year old midfielder who played for Womens Super League side Reading, previously loaned to championship side Crystal Palace, before coming to the Saints as a loanee for the second half a season.
Chloe played for Brighton in the championship in the 2017/18 season where she played 16 matches, scored one goal and played 1033 minutes. Brighton applied to join the restructured WSL league and was approved in the 2018/19 season, in the first season in the WSL they only won 4 games out of a total of 20 but managed to keep themselves 19 points clear from relegation, Chloe played 16 of these matches minutes. She started her playing career at Birmingham at 16 where they finished runner up in the FA Cup and WSL Cup.
Chloe has been described as a defensive midfielder who is a midfield general that reacts to all areas of the pitch and has absurd disarming power in which she can turn defence into attack very quickly, which as we know and seen, is a great pairing for the likes of Alice and Lucia in midfield. She’s quiet but a very intelligent player, she plays direct football and is known to be a ‘midfield beast’.
Chloe has experience in all the tiers from National League all the way up to the Womens Super League which is the level we are aiming to be at.
