Today, the club sadly announced the departure of 5 of our much-loved players and 1 loan signing. The list of player that have departed are Georgie Freeland, Phoebe Williams, Ella Pusey, Beth Lumsden, Ella Hunkin and loan signing Chloe Peplow.

Two others, that were not included in the clubs official announcement are Ciara Watling and Leeta Rutherford who we would also like to thank for their commitment to the club.

We wouldnā€™t be where we are today without some of those girls showing their passion and dedication to the club and itā€™s rise to the Championship!

Thank you all for your commitments and passion to the club!

Pheobe Williams

Phoebe has today departed the club after an amazing and successful 8 years with us. She joined back in 2016 as a product of the Southampton Regional Talent Centre and sheā€™s been a star and an integral player for us in gaining promotion all the way from tier 7 up to tier 2.

Phoebe recently received her 100 appearances in the mighty red and white shirt against Coventry in the second to last game of this season. A class and talented player, with a class attitude and passion towards the game that she plays! She scored 10 career goals for Saints (that I could find, there could be more as not a lot of games recorded for earlier seasons)

I for one will miss her very much playing for Saints as Iā€™m sure we all will. Thank you for your passion and commitment and everything youā€™ve done for us and for the club Phoebe, we wish you all the best & good luck for all your future endeavours.

Ella Pusey

Ella Pusey has today parted company with the club after an amazing 5 years stay with Saints, during her time here she has played a vital role in the rise of Southampton FC

Women whilst scoring 70 career goals (that are recorded!) in the mighty red and white!

Ella has made over 100 appearances for Saints and throughout all those appearances she has showed passion and determination, getting stuck in at all accords! Ella, you have been a true Saint and we are incredibly sad to see you go!

Thank you for your commitment to the club and your drive to strive higher, we are wall going to miss you but we wish you all the luck in your future endeavours!

Georgie Freeland

Georgie Freeland has today sadly parted the club after a brilliant 8 years, she joined Southampton in the Under 15ā€™s after playing in Hampshire Centre of Excellence and then

went on to the Southampton regional talent centre U16ā€™s, moving on to the Saints first team and the rest is amazing history!

Georgie made over 100 appearances for Saints, scoring an amazing 46 Saints career goals for the club

Georgie has played a vital role in getting the team to where they are today, sheā€™s an amazing player and any team will be lucky to have her!

Thank you for everything youā€™ve done Georgie, we will miss you and good luck in your future!ā¤ļøšŸ¤

Leeta Rutherford

Leeta joined the mighty Saints back in 2021, from Championship side Crystal Palace. From joining the Saints, she formed a solid midfield that helped see the rise of the team into the championship, where we are today! Leeta was a lovely human being on and off the pitch and we are sad to see her leave Southampton.

During Leetaā€™s Saints 2 seasons at the club, she scored 7 goals and was a rock for the teams structure in the middle. We are very sad to see you go Leeta and we hope to see you around the club on match days sometimes!

No doubt we will get the chant ā€œwe got Leetaā€ chiming for you again if we see you!

We canā€™t thank you enough for your commitments to the club!

Once a Saint, always a Saintsā¤ļøšŸ¤

Ciara Watling

Ciara joined Saints back in 2021, from Championship side Charlton Athletic. Ciara was in the team for the amazing 21/22 season which saw us get promoted to the Championship, so she was there to play a pivotal role in our rise to tier 2 from tier 3!

During Ciaraā€™s 1 and a half seasons at the club she scored an amazing 13 goals! Ciara always had a smile on her face and would give her all in every match that she played. Sadly, we hadnā€™t seen Ciara from before halfway through the championship season, raising our suspicions that she may have left and our suspicions ended up being correct.

We would just like to thank you Ciara, for everythingā¤ļøšŸ¤

Beth Lumsden

Beth only had a short spell at the club after joint at the start of the season, she played 16

games for us this season and has scored 2 goals within that time. One of those being that beautiful back heel against Coventry recently!

Even after 1 season, we are sad to see you go Beth! From the games youā€™ve played we can see the quality that you bring to a team, pace, quick thinking and pure ball!

Good luck in your future and thank you for this seasonā¤ļøšŸ¤

Ella Hunkin

Ella Hunkin was part of the RTC who had recently been training with the first team! She is off to America to further her career and experience and we wish her all the best in her future!

Maybe we will see her again one day!

Chloe Peplow

Chloe joined us on loan during the January transfer window, she joined from being on loan at Crystal Palace from her parent club Reading.

Her short time here and us fans all fell in love with her and we canā€™t thank her enough for being part of the squad during the last few months! She showed passion to the club even being on loan, and that curling shot she had is one I wonā€™t forget!

We really did not want to see her leave but we wish her all the best back at Reading!

ONCE A SAINT ALWAYS A SAINTā¤ļøšŸ¤
