Welcome to Southampton, Emily

Saints have completed the permanent signing of forward, Emily Kraft during the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old striker joins us from Lewes. Another exciting new edition and prospect joining our ranks and bolstering our already strong team. Looking forward to seeing her in the famous red and white!

Who is Emily Kraft?

Emily Kraft is a 21-year-old forward who formerly played for fellow championship side, Lewes. The German born striker started her footballing career for youth side, FFC Frankfurt, back as a 14-year-old in their youth squad. Emily stayed with Frankfurt for 9 years, seeing the club get taken over by local men's side and becoming Eintracht Frankfurt in 2020.

After the conversion, Emily stayed with the club until July 2022 where she joined Lewes on a permanent deal. During her stay at Lewes, she scored 5 goals, in 20 matches, across all competitions. One of those goals being the headed goal against us at St Marys, which saw Lewes take the win. Another of those goals being against WSL giants, Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter finals this year, unfortunately the goal wasn’t enough as United went on to win 3-1, but what an amazing moment that must have been. Emily also has international status under her belt after playing in the German youth sides whilst living in Germany. Emily followed her heart and moved over to the Republic of Ireland international team where she made her international debut against Belgium in 2019. Welcome to Southampton Emily, we are all so excited to have you on board and we’re also very excited to see you play and see what you can bring to the squad, hopefully loads of goals!!!
